Canada PNP Program 2020

Canada PNP Program 2020

About Provincial Nominee Program

Canada has a total of thirteen provinces as well as territories. All these thirteen provinces operate on their immigration programs, those are called as Provincial Nominee Program or the PNPs. Although these provinces have varied populations and economies, then their immigration programs are varied and are built to fit their demographics and economic needs.

Provincial Nominee Program explained in detail

The Canada provincial nominee program allows the territories and the provinces in Canada to nominate the individuals who wish to immigrate to Canada and are interested in settling in a particular region. Every territory and the province in Canada have its unique provincial nominee program. Every provincial nominee program Canada has a minimum one immigration stream that is aligned with the federal express entry system.

The provincial nominations that are issued under the express entry systems are also referred to as enhanced nominations, and they award the candidates of the Express Entry the additional CRS points.

The provincial nominee program is the application filled on the paper-based form. One must apply the same in two different stages.

  • Firstly, you need to decide where in Canada you are planning to live, and based on that, and you are required to apply in that territory or the province for nomination. The experts will then review the application depending on
  • your immigration needs
  • if you have plans of living there
  • The region or the province nominates you, and you are then required to apply for your permanent residency to Canada.

Eligibility Criteria

If you are looking to apply as the provincial nominee program Ontario, you need to fulfill the following requirements:

  • meet the requirements of the territory or the province’s non-express streams
  • to get nominated under the stream

How to apply for a Provincial Nominee program?

Fill the application form

Once you get nominated by the territory of the province, you are required to apply for permanent residency. The application process includes an instruction guide and all forms you are required to fill out once the territory or the province has nominated you. The guide would fill out the forms in a proper way.

If you have not mentioned all the correct information in your application for your permanent residency in Canada, then the authorities might:

  • refuse the application
  • find
  •      your application inadmissible
  • bar you from applying for the PR in Canada for a minimum of 5 years

Pay the application fees

Most of the cases include

  • the processing of payments on the application
  • the right of permanent residence fee
  • the biometrics
  • the third-party fees

All you need to do is pay the fees online.

The bio-metrics fees

In many cases, you are required to pay the biometrics fee whenever applying. In some cases, you might experience some delays. The biometrics fee also covers the cost of collecting fingerprints and digital photos.

Once you pay the biometrics fee with the completed application, you would be receiving the confirmation letter that you are required to give the biometrics. Then, you must produce this letter whenever you provide the biometrics. Biometrics is expected to be given in person, and hence you need to book your appointment for taking the take advantage of service.

The third-party fees

Based on the situation, you are required to pay the third parties for:

  • Educational credential assessment
  • Police certificates
  • Medical examinations

There is also an instruction guide available, which helps people in understanding which fees apply to you and also shows you how to pay them.

Submitting the application

Always see to that you do not forget anything. If anything is missed:

  • your application won’t be complete
  • it would be sent back without processing
  • you are then required to fix the errors and then resubmit it

After the province or territory has accepted your application, your next move is to apply for permanent residence within the time defined by them. If you apply through the Express Entry system or via normal application procedure, the province or territory must let you know:

The nomination under the Express Entry stream: If you're not already throughout the Express Entry system, the Express Entry application must be completed and admitted to the pool. By using the Come to the Canada tool, you can start the process.

Or

Application for the non-Express Entry stream: The permanent resident applicants qualified for the non-Express Entry stream will apply for permanent residence through the normal application process.

Factors those make you eligible

PNP eligibility criteria differ across the province. Since PNPs are part of economic immigration policy, PNPs are typically designed to attract workers who can easily contribute to the economy and who are highly likely to remain in that province. Many PNPs also favor immigrants with experience in professions in that province that are in demand. Many PNPs support immigrants who, like a parent, have a relation to the region, since this increases the likelihood they'll stay in the region.

As with most of the economic immigration programs, the young candidates having excellent language skills, the high educational standards, and the skilled work knowledge are best suited for success. Therefore, that latter-mentioned list of the PNPs should be reviewed to assess the eligibility criteria for each program individually.

Various Nomination Programs

Canada launched Express Entry as the system for managing the permanent residence applications via the same significant economic immigration programs, in 2015. Since then, several states and the territories in Canada have created' enhanced' PNP sources, compatible with Express Entry. It provides an incentive to satisfy the eligibility requirements for PNP, and certain PNPs require the applicant to have the profile on Express Entry.

If the applicant is accepted via a PNP compatible with the Express Entry, the candidate could then claim the 600 additional CRS points, effectively ensuring they'll receive the invitation to apply (ITA) over the next Express Entry draw for the permanent residency in Canada. Instead, when an applicant gets the nomination via a PNP, which is not compatible with the Express Entry, then as the provincial nominee, they should submit the paper-based federal permanent residence submission. Paper-based national permanent residence applications can take much longer to process than electronic Express Entry applications.
